Entry: RE: Poetry Monday, June 14, 2004

So...I'm thinking of posting some poetry (old and new.) Fear grips me. What if somebody reads it? Would they see themselves in the lines? Would they imagine themselves the subject where they were not? It's funny how often people will, when confronted by the writings of someone they know personally, "locate" themselves in the art. Sometimes truly, and other times only "potentially." Poetry, for me, is like a journal. "Behold the tenderest leaves of me!" Should I bear them? I am unsure. Perhaps comments from you few readers will tell...

lmfao, Token. Yeah, maybe so. But, you know I only use this site to pick up chicks ... and lord knows if there's one thing they like better than websites it's poetry...

Whaddaya mean you don't know if your poetry "counts"? Who decides that? The writer or the reader? Write, bare, post....I'll let you know.

I don't know if my poetry "counts," Jessa (I've seen your writing, and it's fabulous!) :-)

P.S. hehe..."bear" v. "bare"...yes both, of course, you witty girl. I meant Bear: to transmit at large, relate (e.g. bearing glad tidings,) and also bare: exposed to view, undisguised (e.g. bare fangs.)
